The start-up from Berlin receives a total of 1.6 million euros.

Hive has raised a total of 1.6 million euros in a pre-seed financing round. The money comes from existing investor Picus Capital, as well as the founders of Flixbus and Forto, who invested together with Lesara founder Roman Kirsch and Sebastian Merkhoffer from Fitvia. Picus Capital became an investor in Hive back in August.

The start-up was only launched in July 2020 and was founded by Oskar Ziegler, Franz Purucker and Leonard von Kleist. Hive takes care of the shipping logistics for young e-commerce companies and aims to offer them an alternative to Amazon. Hive also handles returns. Its customers include Happy Glam, a manufacturer of sustainable nail polish. By the end of the year, 150 brands will be using the logistics service. Hive currently employs 27 people.
