The Austrian start-up thus completes its pre-seed financing. It now wants to expand its team and offerings.

Austrian startup Hi.health has raised six million euros in its pre-seed funding round. The capital comes from existing Austrian investors Speedinvest and Calm/Storm, but also from new international backers such as Haymarker Ventures, Fin VC from the US and Nina Capital from Spain. Co-founder and CEO Sebastian Gruber announces that the money will be used to hire more employees. Currently, 17 employees work at the start-up. Further collaborations with partner companies are also planned.

In addition, the product is to be improved and expanded. Hi.health offers an app with which insured persons can pay their prescriptions and bills digitally and submit them to private health and supplementary insurance companies. The goal behind this, it says, is to reduce bureaucratic hurdles to reimbursement and provide a complete digital user experience.

According to the company's own information, reimbursements with a volume of more than 50 million euros have already been processed via the app since its launch in Germany in 2019. In addition to this offer, purchases in selected online stores such as pharmacies can also be processed via the app.
