Hi.health raises six million euros

The Austrian start-up has thus completed its pre-seed financing. It now wants to expand its team and services.
The Austrian start-up Hi.health has raised six million euros in its pre-seed financing round. The capital comes from existing Austrian investors Speedinvest and Calm/Storm, but also from new international investors such as Haymarker Ventures, Fin VC from the USA and Nina Capital from Spain. Co-founder and CEO Sebastian Gruber has announced that the money will be used to hire more employees. The start-up currently has 17 employees. Further collaborations with partner companies are also planned.
The product is also to be improved and expanded. Hi.health offers an app with which insured persons can pay their prescriptions and invoices digitally and submit them to private health and supplementary insurance companies. The aim behind this is to reduce the bureaucratic hurdles of reimbursement and enable a complete digital user experience.
According to the company, reimbursements with a volume of more than 50 million euros have already been processed via the app since its launch in Germany in 2019. In addition to this offer, purchases in selected online stores such as pharmacies can also be processed via the app.
