Holidu receives 100 million euros in Series E round

The financing follows two completed takeovers in Germany.
In an oversubscribed Series E financing round led by venture capital firm 83North, the Munich-based start-up Holidu raised 100 million euros. Existing investors such as Prime Ventures and Coparion were joined by Northzone, HV Capital, Vintage Investment Partner and Commonfund Capital. 25 million euros will also come from a venture debt from Silicon Valley Bank and Claret Capital. The new capital will flow into new locations in Europe and product development.
Holidu is a booking platform for vacation homes that was founded in 2014 by brothers Johannes and Michael Siebers. Bookiply is also part of the company. This is a platform for hosts where they can manage their offers across platforms (booking.com, Airbnb, Holidu) and also keep track of invoices and bookings centrally in one place. According to its own information, Bookiply manages around 20,000 properties. Following rapid growth, Bookiply accounts for around half of Holidu's total turnover. The company claims to be the market leader in Spain and Italy.
Now the Siebers brothers are also aiming for first place in the DACH region. "We have gradually expanded Bookiply in Europe and have recently strengthened our position in Germany and Europe by merging with Lohospo and TOMAS," says Johannes Siebers. Holidu took over these two companies in September. Lohospo is a service company for hosts, Tomas is a software for destination management. The platform now wants to use the new capital to expand further.
