IDNow is said to be facing exit

The sale of IDNow could fetch up to 900 million euros. But nothing is in the bag yet.
According to Finance Forward, the investment bank Goldman Sachs is currently looking for a buyer for the Munich-based start-up IDNow. A calculated turnover of 70 million euros for the year 2022 could serve as the basis for a possible sales price. The sale of IDNow could bring in up to 900 million euros.
It is apparently still unclear who has commissioned Goldman Sachs with the search for a buyer. IDNow itself has not been looking for a buyer. However, a mandate is also not necessary, since IDNow is 70 percent owned by investors.
Armin Bauer, Dennis von Ferenczy, Felix Haas and Sebastian Baerhold founded IDNow in 2014. The start-up offers various identity verification processes on its platform. This allows companies to identify their customers and enable them to conclude contracts online. The start-up's customers include Solarisbank, N26 and Telefónica, for example. Two days ago, IDNow also announced a partnership with Interpol.
