Mozilla invests in Heylogin

With the money from its pre-seed round, the Braunschweig-based start-up wants to make its password manager attractive to medium-sized companies as well.

Heylogin has successfully completed its pre-seed funding round, raising 900,000 euros. The money comes from Mozilla, the company behind the Firefox browser, as well as several business angels, including former E.ON Germany CEO Ingo Luge.

Vincent Breitmoser and Dominik Schürmann founded Heylogin to make the Internet as "password-free" as possible. To achieve this, the company relies on a password manager that uses a swipe-to-login solution instead of a master password. Since the app's initial release in early 2021, the company says it has already been able to convince 900 organizations to use the solution.

Heylogin now wants to use the money to expand its own product so that it becomes attractive to medium-sized companies. The marketing budget is also to be increased.
