Niklas Östberg sells Delivery Hero shares

Bought for just under six euros, sold for over 100 euros: Co-founder and CEO of Delivery Hero Niklas Östberg received over 22 million euros thanks to redeemed share options.

Bought for just under six euros, sold for over 100 euros: Co-founder and CEO of Delivery Hero Niklas Östberg has received over 22 million euros thanks to redeemed share options.

Niklas Östberg, CEO of the delivery service Delivery Hero, has sold shares in his company worth 22.6 million euros. According to the company, Östberg is paying 7.8 million euros of this for the settlement of duties and taxes, while he received the remaining 14.8 million euros as a cash contribution. The end date for the corresponding share options has been reached, Delivery Hero announced at the request of Startbase as the reason for the sale. At the same time, the Delivery Hero CEO purchased new share options worth a total of 387,000 euros.

Östberg had received the shares for an option exercise price of 5.83 euros; at the time of the sale, the actual price was 105.67 euros. The purchase took place on February 24, but the company only announced it at the beginning of the week. No reason was initially given for this step. Östberg sold some of his shares for seven million euros back in November.
