Niklas Östberg sells Delivery Hero shares

Bought for just under six euros, sold for over 100 euros: Co-founder and boss of Delivery Hero Niklas Östberg has received over 22 million euros thanks to redeemed stock options.

The CEO of the delivery service Delivery Hero Niklas Östberg has sold shares in his company worth 22.6 million euros. According to the company, Östberg will pay 7.8 million euros of this amount to settle duties and taxes, while he received the other 14.8 million euros as a cash contribution. The end date for the corresponding stock options had been reached, Delivery Hero announced as the reason for the sale when asked by Startbase . At the same time, the Delivery Hero CEO bought new stock options worth a total of 387,000 euros.

Östberg had received the shares for an option exercise price of 5.83 euros, at the time of the sale the actual price was 105.67 euros. The purchase had already taken place on February 24, but the company only announced it at the beginning of the week. Initially, there was no explanation for this step. Östberg already sold part of his shares for seven million euros in November.
