NXRT receives 2.1 million euros

With the capital from Eqventure, the start-up of Lukas Stranger, Patrick Kolar, Martin Wagner and Alexis Kopciak is increasing its previous funding.

The Viennese start-up NXRT has received another 2.1 million euros. The Hermann Hauser and Tricentis founders Wolfgang Platz and Franz Fuchsberger invested via venture capitalist Eqventure. The capital increases the previous financing to a total of 3.6 million euros.

Lukas Stranger, Patrick Kolar, Martin Wagner and Alexis Kopciak founded NXRT in Vienna in 2019. The startup works on simulation technologies for rail and road transport. Automotive companies can use the mixed reality platform to perform virtual test drives, for example. To do so, test drivers put on VR goggles. The idea is to ensure an authentic driving experience by allowing them to continue to see the interior of the car and their own hands the entire time. In the rail sector, the platform is used to train personnel: they can practice everyday scenarios and extreme situations on 3D-visualized switches and track sections. The start-up's customers include Porsche, Audi, Rhomberg Sersa Vossloh and Rail4mation.

"Our platform provides the automotive and rail industries with the tools they need to develop simulation solutions independently," explains NXRT CEO Lukas Stranger. "With this round of financing, we can tap into additional markets and progress even faster on the path from solution provider to platform provider."
