Oiva Health Group, formerly VideoVisit, strengthens its market position and growth by acquiring Finnish eHealth software provider Movendos.

Stockholm - Oiva Health Group has acquired Finnish eHealth company Movendos. Movendos, headquartered in Tampere, offers solutions for remote appointments and communication, appointment booking, health screening and surveys, remote coaching tools and a collaboration portal. The company has built a strong reputation in the Finnish private sector, especially in private clinics and corporate healthcare providers.

This merger will allow us to expand our Digital Clinic product portfolio, especially in the primary care, hospital care and social care segments.

Juhana Ojala, CEO Oiva Health Group

The acquisition enables Oiva Health Group to expand its product offering in Finland. The merger also provides cross-selling opportunities between the two companies' customers and, in particular, strengthens their position in public procurement processes. The companies are already working together in tender processes due to their complementary solutions.

There are great synergies between the two companies and we see the merger with Oiva Health as an ideal development on our common path to expand our joint product offering.

Arto Leppisaari, CEO Movendos

Second acquisition this year

This is the second acquisition for Oiva Health Group since the partnership with Main Capital in March 2022. After the acquisition of the Danish telehealth software provider Applikator in May this year, the acquisition of Movendos is another important step towards the internationalization of the group. Through both organic growth and the buy-and-build approach, the company aims to strategically expand its market position. As a result, Oiva Health Group continues to position itself as a software provider for virtual healthcare and digital clinics in Northwest Europe.

The merger will strengthen the group's international presence in the virtual care market and add value for its customers.

Wessel Ploegmakers, Main Capital Partners

Movendos was founded in 2012 and currently employs 11 full-time employees. The company has established itself in the Finnish private sector, serving customers from private clinics and corporate healthcare providers.

Oiva Health Group, formerly VideoVisit, was founded in 2010 and is known for its virtual care platform in the Nordic countries. The company currently employs 60 experts in Finland and Denmark and serves domestic clients and partners such as Helsinki Welfare Region, Länsi-Uusimaa Welfare Region and Viborg Municipality. Oiva Health's digital platform enables integrated health and care delivery and was developed in collaboration with health and social care professionals. Professionals and care recipients in social and long-term care are connected on this platform.

The acquisition of Movendos will enable Oiva Health Group to expand its service offering and further strengthen its leading position in virtual healthcare. The two companies will combine their expertise to create new opportunities for digital healthcare.
