Partech announces closing of €650 million fund

The capital comes from 45 different backers from all over the world. The fund has already invested in some companies.

The technology investment firm Partech, which is active in Berlin, San Francisco and Dakar, among other places, has announced the closing of its second growth fund. The "Partech Growth II" comprises 650 million euros. The predecessor fund "Partech Growth I" had been closed in 2015 - and had been worth 400 million euros. With the fund, Partech wants to expand its existing investment strategy and work with twelve to 15 companies. Investments of between 20 and 70 million euros are to be made available to them. Partech's German portfolio already includes Urban Sports Club, Exporo, Alphin, Coachhub and Elopage.

The money for the fund came from 45 different backers. These included institutional investors, foundations, pension funds, life insurance companies, asset managers and funds of funds as well as more than 40 prominent family offices, entrepreneurs and business angels from ten countries in Europe, North America and Asia. The capital has already supported five companies, including fashion brand Rouje, SaaS workforce management solution Skello, knowledge platform Studocu, payment service provider Billogram and online grocer Rohlik.

"This allows us to continue to provide valuable and strategic support to the outstanding community of European tech entrepreneurs." Partech is one of the world's most active tech investors. Partech's portfolio includes over 200 companies in more than 30 countries, twelve of which are valued at over $1 billion.
