planqc receives international award from the World Economic Forum

With its atomic technology, the startup secures a place among the ten winners of the "Quantum for Society Challenge".
Garching near Munich, April 22, 2025 - The quantum computing startup planqc from Garching near Munich is one of the ten winners of the "Quantum for Society Challenge" initiated by the World Economic Forum. Over 100 companies worldwide applied for the award. The announcement was made at the World Quantum Day in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Recognition for atomic quantum solution
planqc was recognized for its scalable quantum computing platform based on neutral atoms. The technology is to be used in particular for complex industrial applications such as optimizing global supply chains, developing new types of materials and accelerating medical research.

The company is positioning itself as a European pioneer in the race for practical applications of quantum computing.
