Berlin - Berlin-based start-up PowerUs has successfully raised €24 million in its Series B funding round. This funding round was joined by investors including Eurazeo, General Catalyst, Headline and HV Capital.

PowerUs is a career platform that specifically targets electronics technicians and plant mechanics. The fresh capital will be used to further develop the platform and grow the team to make the trade more attractive. There are currently over 850 skilled trades companies and more than 80,000 electronics technicians and plant mechanics registered on the platform. They can network on the platform, which creates new professional opportunities for craftsmen and helps companies find qualified skilled workers. PowerUs attaches great importance to transparent communication and fair cooperation in the skilled trades sector.

Especially now, when the implementation of the energy transition is in full swing, we need to support crafts businesses and skilled workers. PowerUs wants to create a digital home for tradespeople - a place where experts are among themselves and transparency is a top priority. Because an open exchange of ideas creates completely new opportunities in the skilled trades.

Konrad Geiger, Co-Founder PowerUs

Konrad Geiger, co-founder of PowerUs, commented on the financing round: "We are proud and grateful for the trust that was also placed in us in this round. This shows how important the craft is for society. Particularly in times when the energy transition is being driven forward, we need to support crafts businesses and skilled workers. PowerUs wants to offer craftsmen a digital meeting place where professionals can communicate openly and transparency is paramount. An open exchange opens up new opportunities in the skilled trades."

PowerUs was founded in 2019 by Konrad Geiger and Julian Lindinger in Berlin. The platform offers customized functions for the skilled trades and works with companies such as Enpal, Service4Charger and DPS. Companies can network with skilled workers on PowerUs and publish individual job postings. Tradespeople who have completed their training can register on the platform free of charge and receive information on salaries, further training and career opportunities. Active placement in attractive career opportunities is also part of the offer. In cooperation with partner companies such as Viessmann or Hager, the platform even offers its own online courses.

With the fresh capital, PowerUs plans to further improve the user experience and develop new features. In addition, the company aims to grow further and expand its services in the future.

The implementation of the energy transition in Germany is currently at the top of the agenda. One of the biggest challenges, however, is finding qualified skilled workers, as experienced craftsmen are retiring and at the same time the number of trainees in the industry is insufficient. However, the energy turnaround has helped to improve the reputation of skilled trades professions and encourage the entire industry to rethink. PowerUs helps businesses understand and adapt to this change.

PowerUs, founded in 2019 by Konrad Geiger and Julian Lindinger in Berlin, has established itself as the leading career platform for the skilled trades. With over 850 partner businesses and 80,000 users on the platform, the startup is changing the way skilled trades communicate and function in the modern world. PowerUs aims to make a lasting change to the skilled trades as a digital home, because only an attractive skilled trade has a future.
