Rabot Charge closes pre-seed funding round

Rabot Charge's technology is designed to enable e-cars to be charged cheaply using green electricity. Now there was over one million euros.

Rabot Charge has closed its first round of financing, raising more than one million euros. With the funds from the financing round, the start-up aims to become a sustainable and digital energy service provider.

Jan Rabe and Maximilian Both founded Rabot Charge in 2021 in Hamburg. The start-up has developed a technology to charge electric cars in an optimized and more sustainable way. With the help of an algorithm, the charging process is optimized based on the price of electricity and the available amount of green electricity. In this way, electricity consumption can be shifted to times when a lot of wind and solar energy is being fed into the grid and the price of electricity is very favorable at the moment. With its technology, the start-up aims to prevent overloading of the power grids, contribute to the energy transition and help owners of electric cars save money. The startup also offers its product as a white-label solution for industry partners.

"With this investment round, we were able to expand the team and now focus on product development and market entry in Germany" says CEO Jan Rabe.
