The start-up wants to become the European market leader for school platforms. To this end, Sdui has now bought two competitors and expanded its management.

The German school platform Sdui has bought the Swiss school platform Pupil and the Belgian Konecto app. The platforms are to remain independent of each other and continue to operate under their familiar names. Integrations and collaborations are expected to improve the products.

"Our vision is to use technology to change education in a sustainable way. Under the Sdui umbrella, we can do this even better together in the individual markets in the future," says Sdui founder and CEO Daniel Zacharias. Sdui also plans to enter six additional markets this year.

To support internationalization, Sdui has strengthened its management team: Daniela Bojahr has been part of the Sdui management team since the beginning of the month. She is now responsible for sales, customer centricity and international business. Previously, she was responsible for the DACH region and Central Europe at Statista. Philip Heimes takes over the further development of the platform as the new head of technology. He has already worked for the US ed-tech company Powerschool and was head of technology at Innovation Natives. There, he implemented digitization projects for Deutsche Bank and Playstation. Pupil co-founder Lukas Lehmann also joins Sdui's management team.

Daniel Zacharias and Jan Micha Kroll founded Sdui in 2018 in Koblenz. Via the start-up's school platform, students and teachers can, for example, chat in a privacy-compliant manner, access the timetable and keep a digital class register. According to the company, 5,000 schools in Germany use the school platform, and in 2021 the number of schools has even tripled. The start-up's investors include HV Capital, the investment holding Franz Haniel & Cie and the Sennder founders.
