The start-up wants to become the European market leader for school platforms. To this end, Sdui has now acquired two competitors and expanded its management team.

The German school platform Sdui has acquired the Swiss school platform Pupil and the Belgian Konecto app. The platforms will remain independent of each other and continue to operate under their familiar names. The products are to be improved through integrations and collaborations.

"Our vision is to change education sustainably with technology. Under the umbrella of Sdui, we will be able to do this even better together in the individual markets in future," says Sdui founder and CEO Daniel Zacharias. Sdui is also planning to enter six additional markets this year.

Sdui has strengthened its management team for internationalization: Daniela Bojahr joined the Sdui management team at the beginning of the month. She is now responsible for sales, customer centricity and international business. She was previously responsible for the DACH region and Central Europe at Statista. Philip Heimes will take over the further development of the platform as the new Head of Technology. He previously worked for the US ed-tech company Powerschool and was Head of Technology at Innovation Natives. There he implemented digitalization projects for Deutsche Bank and Playstation. Pupil co-founder Lukas Lehmann is also joining the management team at Sdui.

Daniel Zacharias and Jan Micha Kroll founded Sdui in Koblenz in 2018. Students and teachers can use the start-up's school platform to chat, access their timetable and keep a digital class register, for example, in compliance with data protection regulations. According to the company, 5,000 schools in Germany use the school platform, and the number of schools tripled in 2021. The start-up's investors include HV Capital, the investment holding company Franz Haniel & Cie and the founders of Sennder.
