Sentryc receives five million euros

The brand protection company intends to invest the money in its software, growth and internationalization.
The Berlin-based brand protection start-up Sentryc has received five million euros as part of its Series A round. The main investor is the French venture capitalist Seventure Partners, with other investors also contributing money.
Sentryc aims to offer companies and brands a digital solution with brand protection software to detect and curb product piracy and brand misuse on online marketplaces. The company intends to use the money to further develop its SaaS solution and finance its growth and further expansion into Europe.
Sentryc believes that there is a large market for the tech sector around brand protection and counterfeit prevention. Measures are being taken more frequently in the area of product piracy in particular. The risks are being perceived more strongly across all sectors. With the latest investment, the company is now hoping for growth in this area.
"Our goal is to protect companies and consumers sustainably and effectively," says CEO Nicole Hofmann. "With Seventure Partners, we are delighted to have gained a partner who shares our vision and is very familiar with the challenges facing companies due to their proximity to the heavily affected French market." "The growing need for brand protection, the team and the innovative software convinced us to invest in Sentryc," adds Andreas Schenk from Seventure Partners.
