Temedica raises 25 million euros

The Munich-based healthtech thus successfully closes its expanded Series B financing round with a total of 42 million euros.

Temedica was able to expand its Series B financing round by 25 million euros and thus now raised a total of 42 million euros. Investors include MIG Capital, formerly MIG Verwaltungs AG, one of Germany's leading venture capitalists. "Temedica operates in a fast-growing and highly attractive market," Boris Bernstein, partner at MIG said of the investment. "Temedica's team is highly motivated and we are excited to work with them and continue our journey."

Temedica plans to use the new capital to further expand its own ecosystem. The Munich-based healthtech collects and combines patient data from what it says are millions of people and then makes it available on its own platform in an organized way. The company wants to use the anonymized data to create an overview of the reality of patient care. The goal, it says, is to contribute to the development of individualized and patient-centered treatment methods.

The start-up was founded in 2016 under Gloria Seibert and Benjamin Friedrich. Seibert is convinced that the large volumes of data and also the entirely new types of data that Temedica generates, collects and organizes can play a key role in personalized medicine.
