thyssenkrupp invests in cap-on

In addition to the steel group's body shop division, another investor is getting on board.

Thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions, the body subsidiary of the steel group, is taking a stake in the fintech Cap-on. Süddeutsche Leasing AG (SDL) is also getting in on the startup. Together, they want to work on the development of digital financing and utilization concepts in the industrial goods business. In doing so, the two will expand their service offering in the plant engineering sector with platform-based financing and billing services.

Fintech Cap-on GmbH was founded in 2021 and develops digital pay-per-use and asset-as-a-service solutions for industrial customers. Cap-on focuses on intelligent data analysis for real-time assessment of users, market situations and assets. Forecasts for future credit risks are also part of the offering.
