The venture capitalist wants to invest 400 million euros in promising start-ups and has its sights particularly set on the B2B sector.

The Berlin-based venture capitalist Visionaries Club is launching its second generation of funds in the amount of 400 million euros. 150 million euros of this will go into a seed fund. 200 million euros will go into an early growth fund. With the remaining 50 million euros, the VC is launching the "Tomorrow Fund," which is to focus on science-driven cutting-edge technology from companies. In addition, the venture capitalist appoints two more partners, Sahar Meghani and Marton Sarkadi-Nagy.

Robert Lacher and Sebastian Pollok have jointly launched the Visionaries Club 2019. Both digital entrepreneurs and European family businesses are involved. Among them are many well-known names, such as founders of Flixbus, Spotify, Personio, Sennder or Hellofresh and on the side of family entrepreneurs Haniel, Stilhl, Henkel, Siemens, Oetker or Fiege.

"The VC market is currently experiencing the biggest upheaval in its history. Many new players are entering," says Pollok. Capital has long since ceased to be a differentiating factor for funds; rather, a good network is becoming the key to success. In addition to 20 founders whom the Visionaries Club itself has already supported in the past and who have now become Limited Partners, this time non-profit organizations and universities are also joining in to invest.
