About You launches on the stock exchange

The share shot straight up a few euros. The fashion mail order company is valued at almost four billion euros.

The fashion start-up About You has successfully launched on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The issue price of the share was 23 euros, but in the meantime a note was even traded at 26.80 euros. A total of 21 percent of the company's shares are being sold to private investors. The company is now valued at 3.92 billion euros, almost half a billion less than the company had hoped for before the IPO(Startbase reported).

"Today we celebrate the successful listing of About You, but our focus is already fully on the future: we are looking forward to continuing our fantastic growth story, building on the success of the last seven years," said Tarek Müller, co-founder and board member Marketing & Brand. About You plans to generate 657 million euros in revenue, which will be used to drive international scaling. "That's where we're focusing on Southern and Northern Europe for now. In addition, the map in continental Europe still has some white spots that we also want to cover," Müller said to NTV.
