The money comes from the Climatetech fund and major players from the construction and real estate industry, among others.

The Berlin start-up Alcemy has raised ten million euros in its Series A financing round. The investment platform Galvanize Climate Solutions is leading the round. Other investors include the CIimatetech fund and Aenu, the impact fund of brothers Ferry and Fabian Heilemann, which focuses on companies in the areas of climatetech and social impact. Construction and real estate-specific investors also participated, including Bitstone Capital, Momeni Ventures and E.R. Capital Holding. There are also business angels and existing investors.

Leopold Spenner and Robert Meyer founded Alcemy in 2018 with the aim of making the concrete and cement industry more sustainable and digital. "To achieve this goal, however, we need close and continuous quality monitoring of these more sensitive concretes and cements, which we supply as a company with our software," says CEO Spenner.

To this end, they have developed a program that uses machine learning and control technology to predict the quality properties of cement and concrete. They cover the value chain from cement grinding to processing the concrete on the construction site. According to the start-up, this enables companies to increase the quality of their concrete, reduce production costs and save CO2.
