Caeli Wind closes financing round

The start-up maintains a cloud-based platform that can be used to test whether forest or agricultural land is suitable for wind turbines.

Berlin-based startup Caeli Wind has raised a seven-figure sum in its first round of funding. The investors come from the renewable energy industry and the start-up sector. The round is led by former Lichtblick CEO Wilfried Gillrath.

The start-up is a spin-off of LBD-Beratungsgesellschaft, a strategic consultancy for climate protection and decarbonization. "Together, we want to accelerate the addition of wind turbines and thus advance the energy transition," says Heiko Bartels, managing director of LBD and Caeli Wind.

With Caeli Wind, property owners such as farmers, forest owners or municipalities can check whether their land is suitable for wind energy. To do this, the start-up operates a cloud-based, intelligent platform that identifies potential areas. At the same time, the start-up wants to help with marketing and bring together project planners and land owners.
