Conversion Maker lands four million euros

The company wants to use the money to further develop its software and double the number of employees.

Offenburg-based startup Conversion Maker has received an investment of four million euros from Christian Funk Holding, which is also based in the Baden-Württemberg city. The company has developed AI-based software to help easily create and optimize marketing copy. It had only launched the program in February. It aims to use artificial intelligence to develop a product text, email or social media post from a few keywords.

Conversion Maker wants to use the money to further develop its text optimization program and expand the platform into new areas. To this end, the start-up wants to double the number of employees from the current 20 to 40 within the next twelve months and move into a new company headquarters.

The software is just the beginning. Conversion Maker is planning an entire suite. "Text optimization was just the first step for us. Next, we are planning a module that uses AI to improve image selection on web pages in order to optimize conversion rates. We are already conducting initial studies for this," says founder and CEO Michael Witzenleiter. "We also see further potential in data analysis - here we want to develop a solution that automatically identifies weak points in online stores." "We are investing in Conversion Maker because we believe the software can add significant value to our direct marketing as well as that of any other company," says Christian Funk, CEO of Christian Funk Holding.

Witzenleiter had founded Conversion Maker in 2020. The start-up wants to make the process of so-called "conversion rate optimization" more accessible with the help of technology. To do this, the company relies on increasingly automated tools that can also be used by users without prior knowledge.
