This investor joins Bringoo

The company wants to deliver food, books, electronics or fashion and lifestyle products within 45 minutes. Now it has been able to attract new backers.

Hamburg-based delivery service Bringoo offers an app-based platform that customers can use to order goods from retail companies. Several retail entrepreneurs are now investing in the start-up as a consortium. After investors Frank Otto and Hauke Hansen joined Bringoo, entrepreneur Marcus Diekmann is now taking a stake in the startup - and bringing some names from the German retail and digital scene right along with him.

On board the consortium are retail entrepreneurs Konstantin Kirchfeld from Peek & Cloppenburg Düsseldorf, Anna Weber and Jan Weischer from Babyone, Jost Wiebelhaus from Frankfurt Laufshop, Joel Kaczmarek from Digital Kompakt and Stefan Hamann from Shopware. Together, the entrepreneurs want to use Bringoo for their own purposes - and promote it in their networks. Peek & Cloppenburg, for example, wants to test Bringoo's platform for a private label, and Babyone and Sport 2000 also want to establish a connection.

"My vision that retailers in city centers have to make their goods deliverable like pizza delivery services make their pizza, namely within an hour, is feasible thanks to Bringoo," hopes investor Marcus Diekmann. "I was convinced by the concept because it maps exactly what retail in Germany is missing: namely, the last mile to the customer's home," adds Konstantin Kirchfeld. "In the U.S., Asia and the Middle East, such concepts have long been established."

Bringoo is a delivery service start-up that supplies customers directly from retail stores. The service does not require the company to build its own warehouses. Bringoo's partner network includes well-known retailers such as the Rewe Group with Penny as well as Nahkauf, Edeka, Metro and the bookstore Hugendubel. The delivery service is currently available in Cologne, Berlin and Hamburg, as well as in the Rhineland in cities such as Frechen, Hürth and Brühl. Hasib Khan, Robert Kosobucki and Christian Puell founded the start-up in 2020. They employ around 100 people.
