Young companies can apply in four categories until October 10. The award is backed by a number of high-caliber companies.

An international consortium is presenting the DT50 Award for the sixth time in 2021. Start-ups from the European Union, from a country of the European Free Trade Association and from Great Britain can apply until October 10. The DT50 Award is presented in four categories: Best Technology, Best Consumer Business Model Innovation, Best Enterprise Business Model Innovation and Tech for Good.

The award is backed by management consultants McKinsey, commercial law firm Freshfields, VC 468 Capital and PR group Finsbury Glover Hering. This year's new co-organizer is the software company Teamviewer. "We are delighted to be part of the DT50 team and to jointly honor European founders and start-ups that are revolutionizing the digital economy with creative ideas and want to shape the future of the tech scene with innovative concepts," says Georg Beyschlag, Executive Vice President Strategy & Corporate Development at Teamviewer.

Companies that have received a maximum of 100 million euros in funding to date can apply for the DT50 Award. The winners receive advice in the areas of strategy, law and communication as well as support in VC matters. The shortlist of the 50 best companies will be announced in November and the award ceremony will take place in January at the Bits & Pretzels Festival in Munich.

Previous winners from Germany include Hello Better, Plan A and Raisin. "Winning the DT50 Award was already a great honor for us. The fact that we also received an offer of workshops and a high level of commitment from the award's partner companies is a huge added value for us," says Raisin CTO Gerhard Köstler.
