The long-term cooperation with the founders and our co-investors has always been constructive and characterized by mutual respect

Monika Steger, Managing Director of Bayern Kapital

Bayern Kapital first participated in EXTEND3D in 2012 in the first financing round and also supported the company in later financing rounds. EXTEND3D GmbH was founded in Munich in 2010 and is an innovation driver in the field of dynamic laser and video projection. Its focus is on the development and production of augmented reality systems to support manufacturing processes in Industry 4.0.

With WERKLICHT technology, planning, measurement and simulation data can be projected directly and precisely from the digital planning state (CAD) onto the workpiece. This facilitates and improves workflows in various areas such as prototyping, assembly, quality control, manufacturing, metrology and rework.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Bayern Kapital for the successful cooperation over the past eleven years. As a long-term and reliable partner, the investment specialists have always stood by our side.

Dr. Peter Keitler, CEO EXTEND3D

EXTEND3D's customers are mainly industrial companies, including companies from the automotive, aerospace and large transport industries. The augmented reality systems developed by EXTEND3D are used in these industries to improve efficiency and precision in various tasks.

The acquisition of EXTEND3D will expand our process and quality control offerings by leveraging a diverse portfolio of augmented reality products specifically designed for assembly operations with high complexity and high quality requirements. We look forward to the partnership.

Henrik Elmin, Business Area President Industrial Technique Atlas Copco

Bayern Kapital has achieved a successful exit with the sale of its stake in EXTEND3D to Atlas Copco. With this acquisition, the Swedish company Atlas Copco complements its product range in the field of industrial production solutions with the innovative augmented reality systems of EXTEND3D.
