Getquin receives 15 million US dollars

Getquin operates an online community for investors. The capital from the financing round will primarily be used to expand the English-speaking user base.
Getquin has received 15 million US dollars. Fintech investor Portage Ventures led the Series A financing round, in which Horizons Ventures and existing investors Embedded/Capital and Sino also participated. N26 founder Maximilian Tayenthal and Scalable Capital founder Erik Podzuweit also invested.
Getquin is an online community for investors. They can discuss shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs and other investments with other users. They can also link their investment accounts to the app to keep a better overview of their investments. According to the start-up founded by Christian Rokitta and Raphael Steil in 2020, more than 200,000 users have already registered on the social network.
"The internet is full of information services, but more and more people are relying on their personal network and online communities for financial information in particular," explains Getquin co-founder and CEO Rokitta. "We will continue to invest heavily in our product and establish getquin as a central information medium in the financial sector in the long term." The capital from the financing round will also be used for this purpose: Getquin wants to further expand its English-speaking community in order to reach even more users. The start-up also plans to involve content creators in product development and allow them to participate in the company.
