Getquin receives $15 million

Getquin operates an online community for investors. The capital from the financing round will primarily go toward expanding the English-language user base.

Getquin has received $15 million. Fintech investor Portage Ventures led the Series A funding round, which was also joined by Horizons Ventures and existing investors Embedded/Capital and Sino. Also investing were N26 founder Maximilian Tayenthal and Scalable Capital founder Erik Podzuweit.

Getquin is an online community for investors. They can exchange ideas with other users about stocks, cryptocurrencies, ETFs and other investments. They can also link their investment accounts to the app to keep a better track of their investments. According to the startup, founded in 2020 by Christian Rokitta and Raphael Steil, more than 200,000 users have already registered on the social network.

"The Internet is full of information, but especially for financial information, more and more people rely on their personal network and online communities," Getquin co-founder and CEO Rokitta explains. "We will continue to invest significantly in our product and establish getquin as a central information medium in the financial sector in the long term." The capital from the financing round will also serve this purpose: Getquin wants to further expand its English-speaking community to reach even more users. In addition, the start-up plans to involve content creators in product development and let them participate in the company.
