Fintech Hawk gains new investors and plans to use the fresh capital to further develop its anti-money laundering technologies.

Munich, April 8, 2025 - The startup Hawk, a provider of AI-based solutions to combat financial crime, has closed a financing round of 56 million US dollars. The Series C round is led by One Peak. Other investors include Macquarie Capital, Rabobank, BlackFin Capital Partners, Sands Capital, DN Capital, Picus and Coalition. Hawk intends to use the fresh capital to further develop its product range and drive forward its international expansion, particularly in the USA.

Technology for banks and financial service providers

Hawk offers technologies for anti-money laundering (AML), customer verification and fraud prevention. More than 80 customers worldwide use the company's solutions. These include large Tier 1 banks, medium-sized financial institutions and fintechs. Hawk has a particularly strong presence among companies that are subject to strict regulations.

Improved hit rate for risk alerts

Traditional anti-money laundering systems are often based on rigid rules. These often lead to a large number of false alarms that have to be checked manually by compliance teams. Hawk uses artificial intelligence to significantly improve the accuracy of risk alerts and reduce the number of false positives.

Artificial intelligence is a central component of our work.

Tobias Schweiger, CEO Hawk

According to CEO Tobias Schweiger, Hawk has been able to increase the accuracy of hits to up to 90% in some cases. At the same time, twice as many previously undetected cases of new types of criminal activity have been uncovered. Hawk's goal is to provide financial institutions with the technology, expertise and support they need to take advantage of machine learning and generative AI. The new funding will help to further realize this mission.

Investor expects growth

David Klein, co-founder and Managing Partner of One Peak, praises Hawk's achievements. The technology enables banks to combat financial crime more efficiently. One Peak wants to support Hawk's "world-class team" as it continues to grow, says Klein.

Hawk develops AI-based solutions for anti-money laundering and fraud prevention. The company works with banks, financial service providers and fintechs worldwide. The focus is on improving risk processes through the use of modern technology.
