Holidus loss falls by two million euros

The holiday home rental platform has had a net loss in the millions every year since it was founded in 2014. In the 2019 financial year, Holidu developed positively.
Holidu has presented its financial statements for 2019. As German start-ups reported, the company's loss fell from €6.9 million in fiscal 2018 to €4.8 million. At the same time, revenue increased from €14.8 million to €24.7 million. The start-up thus achieved its growth targets for 2019.
Holidu is a search engine for holiday homes that Johannes and Michael Siebers founded in 2014. Holidaymakers from 21 countries now use the platform. The company's investors are 38North, Prime Ventures, EQT Ventures, Coparion, Senovo, Kees Koolen and Lios Ventures. In its last funding round last May 2021, Holidu raised €37 million.
"With the funding, we will invest heavily in product development and double our tech organization," co-founder and CTO Michael Siebers said after the funding round.
