Ineratec receives a grant of six million euros

Karlsruhe-based Cleantech is building what it claims is the world's first large-scale industrial production plant for synthetic fuel. This project is now being funded by the German Environment Ministry.
The Federal Environment Ministry is funding Ineratec, a cleantech from Karlsruhe, with six million euros. The money comes from the Environmental Innovation Program pot for three years. The money will be used in particular to promote the production of synthetic fuel. Ineratec is building the world's first large-scale industrial production plant for synthetic fuel.
According to the company's own information, this plant is to start production in 2023. It will recycle around 8,000 tons of CO2 from a biogas plant each year - the equivalent of 750,000 trees annually, it says. 2,500 tons of e-fuels and chemicals are to be produced in this way, which will then be used in aviation and shipping.
Ineratec was founded in 2016 and has already realized some of the so-called power-to-liquid plants - just not yet on this scale. The company's goal is to increase the availability of sustainable fuels and chemicals in various transportation sectors.
