According to a media report, from now on anyone can invest in a venture capital fund via the fintech from an amount of 2,500 euros.

Investing in start-ups as a small private investor has so far mainly been possible via crowdinvesting. According to the Berlin-based fintech Inventure, the magazine Finance Forward is now offering another option. In future, investors will be able to invest in venture capital funds via the start-up's platform.

However, private investors' money will not be invested directly in the corresponding fund. It is structured via a so-called token-based bond, reports the magazine. Such a bond is represented by a digital token that is issued via a blockchain. The advantage of such a solution is a high degree of transparency and low transaction costs, but at the same time the tokens are often difficult to trade. Depending on how well the investment performs, shares flow back to the private investors.

According to the magazine, the first fund will be Planet A. It is invested in Dance, among others, which announced the completion of a financing round today. Private investors can apparently participate in the VC fund via Inventure from 2500 euros. Further funds are expected to follow.
