The portfolio of Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe-Investmentmanagers will ultimately contain up to 16 target funds.

Kapital 1852 from Düsseldorf is launching a new venture capital fund of funds with a target volume of 120 million US dollars. The private markets platform of Bankhaus Hauck Aufhäuser Lampe is thus continuing its investment strategy. The target return of 18 percent per year is to be achieved by investing in twelve to 16 target funds of major venture capital fund managers. According to Kapital 1852, these should all have "a demonstrable and veritable track record, a strong reputation and experienced investment teams".

The money is to flow into digital technologies, primarily software, AI and the healthcare sector. Geographically, the fund managers will focus on what they describe as "institutionalized markets" - i.e. North America, Europe, Israel, Asia and Latin America.

This new fund of funds, called Equity Invest V, is part of Kapital 1852's fourth VC strategy in more than eight years. According to the company, it employs over 500 VC managers who also manage the broadly diversified investments of the new fund of funds.
