To this end, the investment company of the Katjes Group is issuing a bond on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The money is also to flow into new investments.

Katjes Greenfood, the investment arm of the Katjes Group, wants to raise 25 million euros. The investor, whose holdings include The Rainforest Company, Haferkater and Vegdog, is issuing a corporate bond on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange to this end.

Katjes Greenfood is focusing primarily on start-ups that are active in the field of sustainable and plant-based nutrition. The capital from the bond is to flow into new and existing investments. Katjes Greenfood also plans to repay a bridge loan it took out this year to acquire Genius Foods, a British manufacturer of gluten-free baked goods.

"With a strong investment and financing structure behind us, we currently have a variety of opportunities in dynamic markets for growth investments in existing and new holdings," said Katjes Greenfood CFO Marius Rodert: "Katjes Group will remain fully committed financially and strategically and will continue to support the expansion of our portfolio."
