Milano Vice receives 9 million dollars in Series A financing

The Berlin-based company Milano Vice has received a capital injection of 9 million US dollars in its Series A financing round. This round was led by Coefficient Capital, with support from True, Geschwister Oetker and Speedinvest. The company, founded by former Delivery Hero employees, pursues a digital restaurant concept that emphasizes the delivery of high-quality pizzas. Through partnerships with restaurateurs, unused kitchen capacity is used to produce these pizzas and deliver them directly to customers.

Milano Vice has sold over 1 million pizzas to date and works with more than 60 partners in Germany. These partnerships have helped local businesses quadruple their sales. The company aims to improve the efficiency of restaurants by better utilizing kitchen capacity and staff while delivering high-quality pizzas. This collaboration ultimately helps restaurateurs to increase their revenue. Milano Vice plans to strengthen its brand through targeted events and collaborations, especially with the younger target group, millennials and Gen-Z.

Quality monitoring with AI

The company uses proprietary technologies such as artificial intelligence and computer vision to monitor the quality of its pizzas. It recently launched a new online ordering platform to provide customers with a direct shopping experience.

The company already opened a pop-up location in Berlin in October 2023 and plans to expand its physical presence through small locations to drive its multichannel strategy. The latest funding round will help support Milano Vice's expansion in Germany and other countries, said Arpon Ray, Partner at Coefficient Capital. The company plans to continue to strengthen its position in the pizza market and achieve its growth targets.
