Planetly goes to One Trust

The founders make a surprise exit. By merging with One Trust, the start-up could soon launch in the US market.
The US company One Trust has bought the German start-up Planetly. According to information from Gründerszene another round of financing was actually planned. Instead, One Trust made the offer to the start-up. How much the purchase cost is not known.
"The merger with OneTrust is not the end of our story. It is the beginning of a much bigger story: We will maintain our goal and scale. With this step we become global," co-founder Benedikt Franke shares on LinkedIn with. The start-up's customer base is also expanding as a result of the exit: OneTrust has more than 10,000 customers. Through the merger, Planetly could now also start on the US market.
Anna Alex and Benedikt Franke founded Planetly in 2020, a startup that developed software that calculates companies' CO2 consumption and helps them reduce it. So far, Planetly's customers have included companies such as HelloFresh, Home24 and Personio.
