Quantistry lands seven-figure investment

The Berliners want to use the money to expand their team and further develop the Quantistry Lab simulation platform.
The Berlin-based start-up for quantum simulations Quantistry has landed a seven-figure sum in an investment round. The money will primarily be used to expand the product portfolio and hire new staff. In addition to several private investors, Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) has also invested in the company. The company has developed intuitive software to enable chemical predictions. It is based on artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum chemical simulations.
"Advances in cloud and quantum computing allow us to harness and exploit the full potential of chemical simulations in our platform," says Vincent Pohl, CTO and co-founder of Quantistry. Marcel Quennet, CEO and co-founder of Quantistry, added: "With our more than ten years of experience in the field of quantum chemical simulations and the investment round now closed, we are convinced that with Quantistry we can build a high-tech company of global relevance based in Germany."
The company's software is expected to reduce the need for laboratory tests and experiments in the research and development of new materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients. This should shorten development times and save costs. The team is also working on adapting its own software to quantum computers. In the future, this should ensure a further acceleration of the highly complex computing processes.
Quantistry's customers include research institutes, but also customers from the semiconductor industry, for example. Quantistry is a partner of PlanQK, an alliance of 19 companies and scientific institutions working on the combination of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
