Quantistry lands seven-figure investment

The Berliners want to use the money to expand their team and further develop the Quantistry Lab simulation platform.
The Berlin-based start-up for quantum simulations Quantistry has landed a seven-figure sum in an investment round. The money will primarily be used to expand the product portfolio and hire new staff. In addition to a number of private investors, Investitionsbank Berlin (IBB) has also invested in the company. The company has developed intuitive software to enable chemical predictions. It is based on artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum chemical simulations.
"Advances in cloud and quantum computing allow us to exploit and utilize the full potential of chemical simulations in our platform," says Vincent Pohl, CTO and co-founder of Quantistry. Marcel Quennet, CEO and co-founder of Quantistry, adds: "With our more than ten years of experience in the field of quantum chemical simulations and the investment round that has now been completed, we are convinced that with Quantistry we can build a high-tech company of global relevance based in Germany."
With the company's software, fewer laboratory tests and experiments will be required in the research and development of new materials and active pharmaceutical ingredients. This should shorten development times and save costs. The team is also working on adapting its own software to quantum computers. This should further accelerate highly complex computing processes in the future.
Quantistry's customers include research institutions as well as customers from the semiconductor industry, for example. Quantistry is a partner of PlanQK, an association of 19 companies and scientific institutions working on the combination of artificial intelligence and quantum computing.
