New fund, new standards: with the Real Value Framework, Revent brings impact criteria directly into the investment selection process.

Berlin, April 10, 2025 - Berlin-based VC Revent is launching its second fund with a volume of 100 million euros. The aim is to support European start-ups that use technology to address social and environmental challenges.

Following the success of Fund I - which, according to Cambridge Associates, is among the top 10% of all global VC funds - Revent continues to invest in companies that both generate exceptional financial returns and drive social progress.

Investing in socially relevant technologies

Revent is looking for founders with a dual ambition: to build ambitious companies that also solve significant societal problems. The focus areas include climate change, health and economic participation.

We founded Revent for founders who want to build a large and meaningful company.

Lauren Lentz, Founding Partner at Revent

Successful investments from the first fund

With Fund I, Revent has already invested in start-ups such as:

  • Avelios Medical (health tech, Sequoia)
  • Tem Energy (energy software, Atomico)
  • Sylvera (CO₂ data platform, Balderton)
  • Granular Energy (energy certification, Norrsken)

New valuation model for Impact

With the second fund, Revent is introducing the Real Value Framework (RVF) - a specially developed tool to incorporate social and environmental impact into investment decisions.

We are seeing a lot of interest from the 'next generation' in funds that combine financial, human and environmental returns.

Otto Birnbaum, Founding Partner at Revent

Fund II's Limited Partners include the Otto Group, Goldbeck, Wepa, Oetker, Beiersdorf and Hymer, the EIF and founders of companies such as Amboss, Urban Sports Club and Oviva.
