Sharpist raises $23 million

The coaching provider is benefiting from the growing corporate training market and is now receiving new capital for expansion.
Berlin-based coaching platform Sharpist has received $23 million in capital in a recent funding round, the company announced. The funding round is led by Endeit Capital and Capnamic. Founders Future, Porsche Ventures and existing investors Vorwerk Ventures and Btov Partners are also involved. Business angel Julien Codorniou, former Vice President of Workplace at Meta, is also participating in the Berlin-based startup.
"The funding round enables us to further invest in our leading product and gradually establish Sharpist as the market leader for digital coaching in Europe," says Hendrik Schriefer, CEO and co-founder, about the current investment. Schriefer and Fabian Niedballa founded the coaching platform in 2018. The platform mediates between companies and business coaches, who then exchange ideas with employees and support them individually. This is intended to drive human resources development. According to the company's own statements, Strabag, Franke, the Otto Group and Zalando are already among its customers.
The founders plan to use the new capital to double the team size from 100 employees this year. The start-up also wants to drive the development of its platform and tap into new European markets. The expansion is to start in the UK and Ireland, for which a new office is to be opened soon in London.
