From real estate to the food industry: Immerse yourself in the world of German SMEs with the series "The Mittelstand" on Prime Video! The documentary series offers inspiring insights into the world of German business!

Karlsruhe - In a special premiere at the Filmpalast am ZKM in Karlsruhe, Julian and Maximilian Bertlein presented their new episode of the series "The Mittelstand" together with producer Leonard Geßner. In front of more than 200 visitors, they gave insights into their lives and work.

The documentary series, produced by Kinescope, sheds light on the German Mittelstand. One company stands out in particular: WBD Immo GmbH & Co. KG. The series comprises a total of four episodes and follows various companies over the course of a year.

The medium-sized companies in the first season

In addition to WBD Immo, three other companies were presented: Hansa Flex, Frosta and Kienbaum. The series takes a look behind the scenes of the SME sector and shows how these companies overcome crises and master their everyday lives.

S1 F1 - From the garage to the world - HansaFlex owner and Managing Director Thomas Armerding provides intimate insights into his company, the global market leader for hydraulic hoses with almost 6,000 employees at over 250 locations. The episode shows how an experienced team manages a company on a global scale.

S1 F2 - On the way to the top - WBD Immo The brothers Julian and Maximilian Bertlein founded a full-service model for real estate investments, which achieved a turnover of 20 million euros in a short space of time. The episode sheds light on their challenges, their dealings with employees and customers and their path to success.

S1 F3 - Off to the chest! -FRoSTA This episode takes a look behind the scenes of the food industry and sheds light on the health aspects of frozen food. The owner of FRoSTA provides insights that will change the way we look at the frozen food sector.

S1 F4 - Consulting - Kienbaum Kienbaum, Germany's first personnel consultancy, provides a look behind the scenes. Bibi Hahn and Fabian Kienbaum take viewers along to strategy meetings, client visits and events, and show how the company advises its clients in the third generation.
