XO Life receives two million euros

The medtech was able to attract VCs Seedlink, Mediventures as well as Aescuvest as investors.

The start-up XO Life has received two million euros for the further development of its patient insights platform for drugs and therapies. The platform is designed to enable patients to report experiences and side effects and to record them in accordance with data protection regulations. In the current financing round, the international healthcare VC Seedlink, the corporate VC Mediventures and the direct investment platform Aescuvest are now investing, as well as other healthcare technology service providers. The money will primarily go toward expanding the platform's product and development capabilities.

"With our platform, we are setting a benchmark in the direct capture of patient insights in a real-world care setting and truly enable every patient and as well as all healthcare stakeholders to participate," said Friderike Bruchmann, co-founder and CEO of XO Life. Bruchmann co-founded the startup with Katja Ruhnke and Johannes Bachhuber in 2019. They aim to make their platform the largest real-world evidence platform for patient insights. To achieve this, they are collaborating with the PROMIS Institute Germany, the Charité and various pharmaceutical manufacturers. According to their own information, around 25,000 people are already using the platform.
