XO Life receives two million euros

The medtech was able to attract the VCs Seedlink, Mediventures and Aescuvest as investors.

The start-up XO Life has received two million euros for the further development of its patient insights platform for drugs and therapies. The platform is designed to enable patients to report experiences and side effects and record them in accordance with data protection regulations. In the current financing round, the international healthcare VC Seedlink, the corporate VC Mediventures and the direct investment platform Aescuvest as well as other healthcare technology service providers are now investing. The money will primarily be used to expand the platform's product and development capacities.

"With our platform, we are setting a benchmark in the direct collection of patient insights in a real-life healthcare setting and enabling every patient and all healthcare stakeholders to participate," says Friderike Bruchmann, co-founder and CEO of XO Life. Bruchmann founded the start-up together with Katja Ruhnke and Johannes Bachhuber in 2019. They aim to make their platform the largest real-world evidence platform for patient insights. To this end, they are working with the PROMIS Institute Germany, Charité and various pharmaceutical manufacturers. According to their own information, around 25,000 people are already using the platform.
