Aumio raises three million euros

The Berlin-based start-up has developed a meditation and sleep app for children. It aims to help them grow up less stressed.
Since the pandemic, almost every third child is psychologically vulnerable. This has even been exacerbated by the outbreak of the Ukraine war. The Berlin-based start-up Aumio was able to convince investors such as VC Partech to invest three million euros in its mediation and sleep app. This is designed to help children grow up healthy, self-confident and less stressed with playful exercises and stories. Already, Aumio says it is used by more than 200,000 families in the DACH region.
The company was founded in March 2020 by Jean Ochel, Tilman Wiewinner, Felix Noller and Simon Senkl. They developed the app together with experts at Freie Universität Berlin.
That the start-up has big plans for the future is highlighted by co-founder Tilman Wiewinner: "We want to become the Disney for Mental Health." According to forecasts, the market volume of the global digital health market will increase to $640 billion by 2026. Investors have also recognized this. Lead investor Finn Weise of Partech emphasized that mental health is now taken as seriously as physical health.
