Gethenry raises 16.5 million euros

The Berlin start-up rents out e-bikes to delivery services such as Gorillas and Flink. The company has now closed its seed round.

Gethenry receives 16.5 million euros in its seed round, as the start-up announced on Linkedin announced. The lead investor in the round is London-based VC LocalGlobe. Visionaries Club, Founder Collective, Greenpoint Partners, EnbW New Ventures and Third Sphere are also investing. Angel investors Jan Dzulko, Benjamin Bremmer, Fabian Ladda, Fredrik Hjelm and Roger Hassan also participated in the round.

Luis Orsini-Rosenberg and Nikodemus Seilern founded the start-up in 2018. The founders produce e-bikes and rent them out to delivery companies. The start-up offers its customers software to track the e-bike fleet and a service where the vehicles are serviced free of charge. Well-known delivery services such as Gorillas, Wolt, Flink and Lieferando are among the company's customers.

The company is currently active in Germany, Austria, Italy and France. How Techcrunch reports, the start-up also plans to use the new funding to expand into Spain, the Netherlands and the UK. The company is also planning to develop electronic mopeds.
