Getnow apparently saved from insolvency

The food delivery company Getnow has been taken over by a new investor. Already in the coming days, deliveries are to be made again.

The Munich-based start-up Getnow is being taken over by LIS, a consulting firm for the logistics industry. This was announced by the insolvency administrator Max Liebig. Getnow had to file for insolvency in October after a financing round failed and therefore the start-up ran out of money. According to Liebig, there were a number of interested parties for the insolvent company. "With the transfer to the new investor, Getnow has the chance to be put back on a financially solid footing and to continue to play a good role in the growth industry of food delivery services," said insolvency administrator Max Liebig.

Getnow customers were able to order groceries from Metro, which the start-up delivered on the same day in Berlin, Munich, Essen, Frankfurt, Hanover and Düsseldorf. Already in the next day, the operation is to be resumed.
