Healthtech Newsenselab, like Facebook parent company Meta, uses a convoluted M. Now the start-up wants to change this.

The new logo of Facebook parent company Meta is similar to the logo of the migraine app Msense from health start-up Newsenselab. Both logos show an intertwined M, only the color differs: M-Sense's is green, Meta's is blue.

"We are honored that Facebook feels inspired by the logo of our migraine app - perhaps they are also inspired by our data protection principles," the health start-up writes ironically on social networks.

Newsenselab now wants to commission an agency to create a new logo for the migraine app. The start-up wants to prevent users from associating the app with the Facebook group and its handling of user data. "Data is crucial for guiding treatment correctly, but it is also a highly sensitive asset, so we are reliant on user trust," says founder Markus Dahlem in an interview with Gründerszene.

Msense helps migraine patients to keep a headache diary, document their medication intake and analyze the progress of their treatment. The app is available on prescription from your GP.
