Roadsurfer raises 24 million euros

The Munich-based camper broker wants to drive international expansion with its Series B financing. Roadsurfer is already active in eight countries.
The campervan start-up Roadsurfer has completed its Series B financing with 24 million euros. Co-founder Markus Dickhardt confirmed this to Gründerszene. The money comes from venture capitalists HV Capital and Heartcore Capital, among others.
Roadsurfer rents out campers via an online portal, very similar to a car rental company. The founding team around Dickhardt started in 2016 and was profitable after just one year, according to the company. Roadsurfer also arranges camping spots in unusual locations for a fee. For example, on farms or wineries. The company also sells its own used campers if customers show interest.
The Munich-based company plans to use the newly raised funds to expand further. The company is already active in eight European countries.
