French venture capitalist Impact Partners is investing in German healthtech Synaptikon. The investment amounts to six million euros, the VC said. It is the first financing Impact Partners has made in Germany.
Synaptikon is behind the Neuronation app, a service designed to help people train their cognitive skills. The app is available in nine languages, and Synaptikon says it has already reached 20 million users. For the original development, the start-up cooperated with the Free University of Berlin; in the meantime, there are further collaborations with various universities and clinics. Currently, Synaptikon is testing together with the Charité Berlin, the University Hospital of Cologne and the University Hospital of Jena whether Neuronation is suitable for the treatment of Long Covid patients.

are accelerating this trend, and we want to do our part to solve it," says Jakob Futorjanski, who co-founded the company with Rojahn Ahmadi in 2011. With the newly raised capital, Synaptikon now wants to strengthen the research behind its own product.
