Solarisbank receives 40 million euros

Some private equity firms are expressing interest in Solarisbank. A sale would also be possible.

According to information from Finance Forward Solarisbank has collected 40 million euros from its existing investors. However, Neobank is still looking for investors. Several private equity firms have expressed interest, including Advent. According to the Manager Magazin, the investment firm wants to secure a majority share and thus also considerable co-determination rights in Solarisbank. Advent did not comment on the matter.

The private equity fund CVC was also initially interested, but then withdrew. The shareholder of Solarisbank Finleap could imagine an exit at an appropriate purchase price, writes Finance Forward and refers to financial circles.

Solarisbank had actually targeted an IPO in the third quarter of this year last October(we reported). "We want to be IPO-ready by the middle of the year," CEO Roland Folz told Handelsblatt at the time - whether via Spac or as a classic IPO was still unclear. However, due to the current market environment, an IPO has become less likely.
