Toy manufacturer Boxine wants to go public via Spac

The manufacturer of the Tonie audio system is negotiating with Alexander Kudlich's 468 SPAC. The purchase price is said to be one billion euros.
Boxine from Düsseldorf, the manufacturer of the Tonie audio figures, is aiming to go public. Talks are currently underway for a takeover by 468 Spac 1 of former RocketInternet board member Alexander Kudlich. This was announced by Spac in a mandatory announcement. A market capitalization of one billion euros is assumed for the IPO. Boxine was founded in 2016 and is the company behind the Tonie boxes, the talking figures for small children. The company now produces more than 300 audio figures. In 2019, Boxine's turnover was around 100 million euros. The company made a profit of just under eleven million euros.
Spac 468 has been traded on the stock exchange since the end of April (Startbase reported). "With this story, Boxine could have easily gone public on its own," says Philipp Klöckner, investor and tech expert from the "Doppelgänger Podcast" and former Rocket Internet consultant, to the Rheinische Post. "In my view, the product is also strong enough to justify the price of one billion. Boxine is a good company. But for it to become an exciting investment, it needs to become internationally successful or new products need to be developed so that it becomes the Mattel, Hasbro or Ravensburger of the 2030s."
