Infarm's sales apparently declined recently

According to a media report, the start-up has problems in its supply chain.
According to information from the Handelsblatt the Berlin-based foodtech Infarm is currently struggling with weakening sales. Revenue from the sale of herbs is said to have fallen by 3.6 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the fourth quarter of 2021. Handelsblatt refers to internal documents available to the medium. The reason for the decline in sales is said to be problems in the supply chain.
Infarm told Handelsblatt that turnover in the first half of 2022 had increased by almost 33% compared to the first half of 2021. The question of how Infarm's turnover is developing thus becomes a question of the period under review.
Although Infarm achieved unicorn status at the end of the year and the start-up is now valued at more than one billion US dollars, the greentech also has to announce bad news time and again. As recently as July, updated business data for 2020 revealed that Infarm is struggling with losses despite rising sales. This is not unusual for start-ups focused on growth. However, in view of the current deteriorating sentiment among many investors, many are now trying to become profitable. According to Handelsblatt , Infarm was already running out of money before the latest financing round. According to internal documents, the remaining capital was only enough for one month.
