As recently as 2018, the young company had turned over less than half that amount. The profit is also relatively high.

Berlin-based auto parts startup Autodoc has 2021 sales of around one billion euros. This reports German startups with reference to the company's annual financial statements. The company thus generated 23.1 percent more than it did in 2020, when it had turned over 842.1 million euros.

Turnover had been rising steadily, and in 2019 it had stood at 612.4 million euros. The difference between the years 2018 and 2021 is particularly large; while it had once been 415 million euros, it has now more than doubled.

The company's profit is also relatively large. According to the annual financial statements, net income was 31.5 million euros in 2019 and 55.1 million euros in 2020. For 2021, the company now only shared the adjusted EBITDA, which basically describes the operating cash flow before taxes, according to Deutsche Startups: This was 123.9 million euros.

Autodoc describes itself as Europe's leading online retailer of automotive spare parts. The company had emerged from E&S PKWTeile in 2015. The company had hired its first employee in May 2009 and now has over 4,600.
