Hellobetter receives four million euros

The Hamburg-based start-up was able to expand its Series A financing round, raising a total of ten million euros.
Digital therapy start-up Hellobetter has received four million euros in its Series A financing round. Last October, the company had already raised six million euros in capital(we reported). The new investment brings the round to ten million euros. The lead investor is Massmutual Ventures (MMV). Existing investors Healthcap, Expon Capital and Sparrow Ventures also continue to participate.
Hellobetter offers digital therapy programs to prevent and treat mental illness. Psychologists Hanne Horvath, Elena Heber, David Ebert and Hannes Klöpper founded the startup in 2015. Hellobetter offers ten therapy programs to treat depression, burnout and panic disorders, for example. The German Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) has approved four of these programs. This means that doctors can prescribe them on prescription and their use will be free of charge for patients.
The company intends to use the new capital to drive sales of its products on the German market and its expansion beyond the DACH region. To prepare for international expansion, the company recently joined the industry association Digital Therapeutics Alliance.
